FINDING YOUR STILL POINT IN MEDITATION

Recently I was talking to a friend who wanted to get into meditation. My friend said that they tried to attempt mediation but found it difficult to get into the groove. A major key to starting meditation is finding your STILL POINT. This is when we take our time to relax our minds without having expectations. Expectations can at times create pressure which pretty much defeats the purpose of meditation. Just let go. In order to clear our minds we must find a place of comfort. Whether its sitting, standing, or even lying on your back, we must have clarity of the mind. Now I know that we all have so much on the mind at times and it can make it difficult but don’t stress or pressure yourself to meditate. Just BREATHE. I’ve always found lying on my back and breathing with my eyes closed to be very comforting as a start to meditation. I just relax and let my mind be free. You can do this for as long as you need and eventually it will be easier to find your STILL POINT. Remember PATIENT STEPS are PROGRESSIVE STEPS. If you have any questions on meditation don’t hesitate to email me @ hasanmc85@aol.com. YA DIGS?
